Privacy & data

We collect only the information needed to handle inquiries, generate styling studies and keep the service secure. Body measurements are used for the current session by default; AI results are studies, not identity verification.

01What we collect

  • Inquiry information: the name, company, email, WhatsApp, brief, selected materials and attachments (images, PDFs) you submit through the contact form.
  • AI styling data: the height, shoulder, bust, waist, hip and leg measurements, skin tone, hair, pose and setting preferences you enter. By default these are used only for the current session; they are not written to an account or used to verify identity.
  • Technical information: an anonymous session cookie used for rate limiting, access logs (IP, time, browser), and generation timing and error data.

02How we use it

  • To reply to inquiries, send swatches, arrange visits, and handle custom, wholesale or press projects.
  • To convert body measurements into proportions and silhouette descriptions, combine them with fabric, garment and decor into a prompt, and call the image service to generate a styling study.
  • To keep the service stable and secure, including rate limiting, error diagnosis, abuse prevention and anomaly handling.

03AI generation and third parties

  • Measurements are first converted into proportions and posture descriptions and sent to the Tianyi model to write the prompt; this process does not include your name, email or WhatsApp.
  • The prompt is then sent to the Lens image model to generate the styling image. Results are stored short-term in controlled storage and accessed through signed links with an expiry.
  • The result page always labels the output: “AI study; actual fabric colour, drape and fit are confirmed by the physical cloth.”
  • Only if you actively tick “Allow anonymous display in homepage cases” may a generated image appear in the homepage cases; no measurements or contact details are shown, and you can contact us to delete it.
  • We do not use body data for advertising profiles, identity recognition or external sharing.

04Retention

  • Inquiries and attachments: 24 months from submission, then deleted; if you ask for earlier deletion, we will process it after verification.
  • Newsletter email: kept until you unsubscribe.
  • AI generation jobs and results: kept short-term in service memory and controlled local storage, usually no more than a few days; signed links are valid for 60 minutes by default.
  • Anonymous session and rate-limit records: up to 30 days.

05Sharing and cross-border transfer

  • We may use cloud servers, object storage, the Tianyi model, the Lens image service, and email or messaging providers to process this data, and require them to act only on our instructions.
  • We do not sell personal information or provide it to unrelated third parties.
  • Where cross-border transfer applies, we use encrypted transmission and restrict access.

06Your rights

  • You may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your inquiry information and attachments.
  • You may withdraw consent to AI generation or data retention at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing already completed.
  • Email info@hollandwax.com with your inquiry reference (if any); we reply within 15 business days.

07Security

  • API keys are stored only in server environment variables; the browser never holds the image-generation key.
  • Generated results are accessed through signed links with an expiry; each session has a generation cap.
  • Uploaded attachments are validated for type, size and count; we never request arbitrary addresses from URL parameters.

08Cookies

  • We use only a necessary anonymous session cookie (wax_sid) to distinguish sessions and limit generations; it is not used for advertising tracking.
  • You can clear cookies in your browser; the session will restart, but core browsing and inquiry functions continue to work.
